Fevers

Fevers are classified into different types based on the involvement of nerves, muscles, and glands. These conditions may cause weakness, continuous fever, digestive disturbances, cough, restlessness, changes in urine color, and inflammation, with symptoms varying according to the affected body system.

Fevers (Humiyat)

These are various types of fevers:

Nervous-Muscular Fever

In this condition, stimulation of the nerves causes relaxation in the muscles, due to which the body remains out of control. Blood pressure becomes low, and the body loses the strength to move about. On the other hand, degeneration occurs in the glands, making them unable to eliminate putrefaction. The body does not receive the nutrition it requires; therefore, it becomes weak. Since there is stimulation in the nerves and an abundance of fluids in the blood, the fever subsides quickly. If the defect is severe, caution should be exercised in reducing the fever; otherwise, it may prove fatal.

Causes: Excessive use of cold-moist foods, climate.

Muscular-Nervous Fever

In this fever, there is abnormal stimulation in the muscles. Every stimulation causes contraction, which after some time leads to inflammation and swelling. Due to this stimulation, the animal spirit becomes heated, which in turn causes muscular stimulation. This temporary heat, through the heart, warms all the blood and the body, resulting in fever.

In this fever, there is stimulation in the muscles, sedation in the glands, and degeneration in the nerves.

Symptoms:

Its symptoms are as follows:

  1. Reddish urine

  2. Redness of the face

  3. Constipation

  4. Dominance of flatulence

  5. Enlargement of the spleen

Causes: Excessive use of cold-dry foods.

Muscular-Glandular Fever

In this fever, there is stimulation in the muscles. Due to sedation in the liver, fluids and phlegm accumulate and are not excreted, resulting in putrefaction and fever.

In this condition, there is stimulation in the muscles, sedation in the glands, and degeneration in the nerves.

Symptoms:

Its symptoms are as follows:

  1. Sunken facial appearance

  2. Dry mouth, throat, and tongue

  3. Constipation

  4. Lack of sleep

  5. Anger

  6. Pulse elevated, long, and rapid

  7. Urine red and fiery in color

Causes: Excessive use of hot-dry foods.

Glandular-Muscular Fever

There is abnormal stimulation in the glands, causing the natural spirit to become heated, or the natural spirit becomes heated for some reason and causes stimulation in the glands, resulting in increased activity. This temporary heat, through the heart, warms all the blood and the body. When the stimulation increases, it may also take the form of inflammation and swelling.

In this fever, there is stimulation in the glands, sedation in the nerves, and degeneration in the muscles.

Symptoms:

  1. Yellow urine

  2. Yellowish complexion

  3. Abdominal cramps

  4. Rapid pulse

  5. Restlessness

  6. Feeling of weakness

Causes: Excessive use of hot-dry foods.

Glandular-Nervous Fever

In this condition, there is stimulation in the glands, degeneration in the muscles, and sedation in the nerves, due to which difficulty occurs in oxygen absorption and smoke excretion. Therefore, the cough is severe and prolonged. Since there is stimulation in the glands and sedation in the nerves, the phlegm is thin and sticky. On the other hand, due to degeneration in the muscles, the body becomes weak very quickly.

Symptoms:

  1. Yellow urine

  2. Yellowish-white complexion

  3. Continuous fever

  4. Excessive weakness

  5. Excitement in the blood

Causes: Excessive use of hot-moist foods.

Nervous-Glandular Fever

In this condition, abnormal stimulation in the nerves causes the psychic spirit to become heated by temporary heat. This heat then warms all the blood and the body through circulation.

The condition of the simple organs will be as follows: stimulation in the nerves, relaxation in the muscles, and degeneration in the glands; that is, heat will be present along with moisture. On the other hand, there will be an excess of moisture in the muscles, meaning relaxation.

Symptoms:

The symptoms of Nervous-Glandular Fever are as follows:

  1. Indigestion

  2. Excessive urination

  3. Excessive salivation

  4. Diarrhea

  5. Low blood pressure

  6. Whitish urine

  7. Distended veins

Causes: Excessive use of hot-moist foods.
