Diseases of the Skin

Skin diseases include urticaria (hives), ringworm, psoriasis, itching disorders, and various types of pimples. These conditions may cause redness, irritation, burning, itching, scaling, and skin discomfort, affecting overall skin health and daily well-being.

Diseases of the Skin

The following are the diseases of the skin:

Urticaria / Hives

There is a chemical element in the human body called Histamine, which is normal in a state of health, but when elements enter the body that the body does not like, more Histamine is produced in response to them. At this time, wheals (welts) appear on the body, which is called "Patti Uchhalna" in Urdu, "Shira" in medicine, and "Urticaria" in English. This is a disease of the body's autonomic nervous system. The protectors of the nervous system in the skin are zinc, calcium, and magnesium. When they are disturbed inside the body, they come out from the inside and take the form of reddish wheals on the visible skin. Due to the increase in blood circulation in the skin, burning and intense itching occur.

Causes: Decrease in immunity, side effects of allopathic (English) medicines, toxicity of various chemicals, toxins, inflammation in the intestines, excessive use of spices.

Ringworm

First, small reddish pimples are produced. Then, after some time, they take the shape of a round circle. Then the skin there becomes red and small pimples are formed. In Unani medicine, they are called "Quba" and in Allopathy, "Ring Worm".

Causes: Indigestion, unclean condition, use of heavy and slow-to-digest items.

Psoriasis / Ringworm

First, small pimples appear on the skin, on the surface of which small scales are layer upon layer, which can be easily scraped. Generally, there is no itching in them. If itching occurs, it is a sign of the disease increasing. Pimples are produced under these scales. Upon looking, there is a mark on the skin in which mild pimples are present.

Causes: Remaining unclean, effect of hemorrhoidal poison.

Itching

Itching is of two types:

  1. Jarab

  2. Hikka

1. Wet Itching / Scabies:

In this itching, small pimples appear on the body in which pus forms. There is burning and pain in them. Scratching gives pleasure in the beginning and pain later. This itching often starts from the shins and spreads to the whole body. Pleasure is felt by scratching. Until the material appears, one does not feel like stopping.

It has four types:

Causes: Excessive use of sour and heavy items, change in climate, hot spices.

2-:

When inflammation occurs in the nerves, small pimples appear on the body.

Causes: Excessive use of wet and hot items.

3-:

Sometimes large, yellow-colored pimples appear on the body. These are "Namla" pimples, the painful sensation of which is like an ant bite.

Causes: Excessive use of hot and wet items.

4-

Some pimples are burning, yellowish, and broad in size.
